I’d first like to start by saying THANK YOU! I really couldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the constant support I get from Mel’s Mob. You guys always inbox me or email me with kind words, comment on my content, and support my events; ya’ll are the REAL MVPS!

On Saturday, I hosted my 1st ever #Goals: Boss Talk & Vision Board Party, and it was a HIT! I always (and I mean ALWAYS) get anxiety leading up to events that I’m hosting, and put so much pressure on myself to make things perfect. It never fails, but I’m working on getting better! I guess it all takes time. This was my second event here in Charlotte, the first one being the Mel’s Mob Brunch to launch the new look of my website, which was a huge success.

With the vision board party, I actually did an Instagram poll to see what type of events you guys wanted; the vision board party was the clear winner! I was SO happy to have Dana of Pardon My Fro as my guest for the day as well as an incredible sponsor. One Hope Wine also offered their support as a sponsor, and my amazing photographer Brandon and makeup artist Shajara gave away a FREE lifestyle and makeup session. Last, but not least, everyone left with a Pop from PopBar (my favorite dessert spot in Charlotte). Talk about a good time! I’m forever thankful to these amazing people for helping make my event that much better. The squad is STRONG!

Dana and I held a small “Boss Talk” conversation about how she got started with Pardon My Fro, bumps she had along the way as an entrepreneur, and tips to those looking to follow in her footsteps. After that, we got the party started with some tunes while everyone got started on their vision boards.

We wrapped up with a toast to 2019…”Cheers to a year of crushing every goal we set for ourselves, to happiness, love, support, and not being afraid to ask for help!”

And the planning starts now! I’m working on an event for the first quarter of the year and will be announcing the details soon, so get ready!

I can’t thank you enough for all of the love and support you gave for this incredible event. Major thanks goes out to my assistant Chanel, and my soror and friend India for helping out to make sure we had everything we needed to make the day a success! I couldn’t have done it without you two.

XOXO,
