Are y’all ready to see where the magic happens?! LOL, I kid, I kid (maybe). As you all know by now, my home is my haven, the place where all the magic happens. Celebrations, family time, 3AM Netflix binges…you name it, it’s happened in this home. And yep, I know we’re only almost a year into owning our first home, but it’s crazy how many memories we’ve been able to build in such a short time. I’ve shared almost every piece of my home with y’all, but the one room I haven’t shared is our bedroom.

When we first closed on our home, I immediately hired my girl Amber from Blessed Little Bungalow to bring the spaces to life in a way only she can. I told her that the bedroom was one of my favorite rooms in the house, so it needed to feel like US–both of us. I’d decorated my bachelorette pad with all things Melissa Chanel, but now, I had to decorate for Mr. & Mrs. Carnegie. Isa and I decided early on that we wanted a black and gold theme, and from there, Isa trusted me to do my thing. I didn’t have to tell Amber much; once she knew my vision, she immediately worked to bring it to life. The cherry on top of this already amazing room? She even created the coziest little reading nook. Almost a year later and I’m still not over it.

The canopy bed was something different I wanted to try, and I knew that it would bring a different design element to our bedroom. I didn’t want anything too soft or feminine since Isa had to feel at home in it too. Transitioning from my old velvet headboard to this canopy bed was the perfect touch, and Isa immediately loved it.

Thankfully, we had a pretty large bedroom to decorate, so we had enough space to get creative with a bedroom accent wall behind our bed and small touches that gave it a little edginess. I’m still so in love with how it turned out.

The reading nook is probably my favorite area. Amber and I found two cozy lounge chairs on a shopping trip to At Home, and we lucked out at Homegoods with this beautiful statue table. As soon as we saw it, I told Amber I had to have it in our space.

To add a little romantic flair to our bedroom, we added a gallery wall, and the perfect finishing touch was artwork by my favorite girl, MKoby! Coming home to this room (or rather, walking upstairs after a long day of working from home), makes me smile every. single. time. It never gets old.

Okay, enough of story time! Who’s ready to go shopping?! Here’s a list of all the items from our bedroom.
