Mel’s Mob, I hope you guys are all staying safe by wearing your mask and being super careful during these crazy times! I know it’s tough right now with a lot of states opening and covid cases rising, but we WILL get through this. Isa and I have starting hanging out with our family in Charlotte more at each others homes, but we still don’t feel comfortable going to hang out outside our our home or our parents and aunts homes.

I’m not sure about you guys, but we usually have weekly date nights where we get dressed up and head out for a night on the town. Well needless to say, things are a bit different now, and we’re forced to get a little creative. I’m pretty pleased with how much we’ve been able to do in the comfort of our own home, and how fresh we’re able to keep things even though we’re stuck in the house. Of course, it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t pop on over here and share our Quarantine Date Night ideas with you! Here’s what we’ve been doing to keep our love life fresh and exciting in the midst of chaos.

Board Games: A home game night will always be our go-to. Stock up on your favorite board games and enjoy playing them together. Place fun bets like “loser makes dinner” and watch the friendly competition rise! We’re currently obsessed with monopoly, what the meme, and Connect 4.

Living Room Picnic: Make dinner or order takeout, grab your picnic basket, and lay out a blanket. Set it up as if you were in a park. Bring a deck of cards, turn up the tunes, and get lost in great conversation and endless laughs. Bonus if you use conversation cards! The conversation really takes on a life of its own.

Pass the Aux House Party: This is a fun way of finding out what type of music your significant other really likes to listen to. Take turns playing your music on home speaker to see who keeps y’all dancing the longest. It’s my favorite way to kick off a dance party!

Cook Dinner Together: Find a new recipe or save one of the tasty Instagram videos and try making it together. It’s great bonding time!

Grill Out: Set up your grill and cook in your backyard instead of in the house. This will allow you to get some fresh air and enjoy delicious food outside while still staying safe.

At Home Spa Night: Bae may not say it out loud, but they love face masks just as much as us ladies. Plan a home spa night and exchange facials and foot rubs. It’s very relaxing, romantic, and FUN!

UNO! Who doesn’t love a good series of Uno?! Isa and I make it fun by adding in some drinks and turning it into a fun little drinking game.

Netflix and Chill: Find a new series, cuddle up, and start watching it together. This will help you relax after a long day of working and/or working from home. Some of our recent favorites are Jane the Virgin and On My Block. What are you guys watching these days?

Bubble Bath for Two: Grab your Dr. Teals and have a relaxing bath together. Do I need to say more? 😉
And last, but not least…

Make Home Photo Albums: Remember going to grandmas and looking back at all the cool images of your family members? Create those same memories with your family! Order a few empty albums or scrapbooks online, and take your time putting something beautiful together.

That should keep us busy for a while, right? We have no idea how long we’ll be in this situation, but Isa and I have already started on a few of these and they’ve been super fun!

P.S. – Be careful and please wear your mask.

Happy Dating! 🙂

XOXO,
