Mel’s Mob, guess what?! The day you’ve been waiting for is finally here! I’ve shared snippets of my living room & dining area over on the ‘gram, and y’all have given me so much love and support that I figured I stop teasing you and give the people what they want! Not only do I want you to enjoy what we’ve done with our space, but I also want to give you the opportunity to purchase the same items I love in my home and make them your very own. Yep, we share the wealth over here!

When purchasing our townhouse late last year, Isa and I already knew we’d be working with Amber of Blessed Little Bugalow to make our house a home. Amber had completed a few projects at our apartment a few years back (Remember my Glam Room & Bedroom reveal?), and this time, we hired her to design our ENTIRE home. The minute we signed on the dotted line and made our townhouse officially ours, Amber got to work with color schemes and concepts to present to us.

Isa and I are a little different when it comes to our home styles. He loves muted colors like grey and black, but ME? Y’all already know I like to shake things up with bold colors, pops of color, and funky, creative patterns. We did have to compromise a bit, so I let him have his grey sofa, and I came in with the pops of yellow. See? We’re off to a great start with this marriage thing, right? (One more month ’til I become Mrs. Carnegie!)

Give me clothes and sneakers and I can give you looks all day, but when it comes to home decor, that’s simply not my ministry, sis! This is why I like to give Amber full creative control; she has such a good read on our personality and knows how to bring elements of what we both like into an amazing finished product.

We started with the couch. My friend Janna has this BIG comfy sofa in her new apartment, and after passing out on it with plenty of room for us both to get a good night’s sleep, I knew we had to have it in our new space as well. I wanted something comfortable that we could lounge on, watch movies on, or even take quick naps together on, and this was perfect sofa. Once we had that element locked down, everything else kind of flowed in! We made lots of trips to At Home, Homegoods, TJMaxx, Wayfair, Etsy, and West Elm. Before we knew it, our living room and dining area were complete!

What do you guys think?
