My favorite season is almost here! As the temperature rises, my smile just gets bigger and bigger. As I’ve told you guys a thousand times before, I’m a summer baby through and through. I love breaking out the shorts, spring dresses, and skirts and throwing the tights, coats, and turtlenecks back into storage until cold weather rears its ugly head again.

Every season, I like to add a few new items to my closet. Those may be things that are on trend for the season, or staples that I’ve worn out and need to replace. First things first: always purge and know what you have before purchasing new items. If you don’t listen to anything else from this post, listen to that. I used to be the QUEEN of buying items that were super similar to things I’ve already owned. Serious money down the drain. I know I’m not the only one who’s guilty!

Slip Dresses
These are so easy to style; you don’t have to do too much at all. I already have two in my closet, and they’re perfect because they can be easily worn with heels, boots, or sneakers. Mine are from Zara, one of my favorite retailers because they’re not only super cute, but they’re also affordable. A huge plus for me! And if you don’t like your arms out, no worries; just add a graphic T-shirt underneath or a lightweight jacket over it! The slip dress is a must-have for this summer!
Matching Sets
I’m almost ashamed to add this one, y’all. If there’s one thing I have plenty of, it’s a matching set, but I just can’t get enough! They’re just too good for your closet. It’s literally like two outfits in one–you can wear the pieces together, or wear each piece on their own. When I wear them together, people often think I’m wearing a jumpsuit, so I guess it’s kind of like three looks? See…they’re the gift that keeps on giving…LOL!
Heart Sunglasses
I’ve been seeing so many of my favs with these sunglasses, so I figured I’d snag a pair and see if they’re a good fit for me. While many of the ladies have on designers, I’m all about bargain shopping; Amazon is my BFF! I absolutely love these, and can’t wait to style them with an outfit.

Y’all know I’m adding another pair of kicks to my closet!
I’ve had my eyes on a pair of these Nike x Sacai LDWaffle kicks. They release on 5/16, and I’m already thinking of the many ways I’m gonna style them. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Release day is always a little stressful for ya girl.
