I've been doing a ton of traveling lately and thought I'd share what I usually carry around with me. This is a "what's in my bag" toiletry edition. I decided to share this because my last trip to LA I was able to fit everything into my small book bag. I was traveling with Spirit airline and they charge $45 bucks for a carry-on! Yes, you read that right... forty-five bucks. The flight was super cheap so I'm not complaining. This was a test, a test to see if I could control my packing, which I usually can't but I passed. Here's what I packed as far as toiletries are concerned.
Sunscreen: Target has the perfect travel section. I usually find myself at Target before I travel anyway so I try to stock up on items I may need. I wasn't sure about the LA sun so I packed a small tube of sunscreen.
Cetaphil Facial Cleanser: This travel size Cetaphil was a lifesaver. I have super sensitive skin and it's about the only thing that doesn't break me out. Love this stuff and it was recommended by my dermatologist.
Panty Liners: Because I'm a woman and I need them.
Lotion: I'm usually not a Jergens girl, but when you need something in travel size you do what you have to do. I'm more of the essential oil type when it comes to moisturizing my skin, but when traveling I'm always super nervous about it leaking. So I opted for a small Jergens tube.
First Aid Kit: I always travel with one, never know what may happen.
Colgate: My go to toothpaste.
Cotton balls: Normally for my facial toner.
Olay soap: I love this soap. I can't wash my body with anything else. The BEST!
Velvet Sugar: If you don't have any of the Bath and Body Works Velvet Sugar Body mist you need to stop what you're doing and go get some NOW. I always get compliments when I wear it and when I'm traveling with only a carry-on/personal item the travel size just works. I can't be that girl that has to throw away her expensive perfume because it's too much to travel with, NO not me!
Cantu Extra Hold Edge Gel: When traveling I normally rocking some sort of protective style. On my last two adventures, I decided to rock some braids and this edge stay gel kept them tight and fresh looking the whole time. Thank me later.
Toothbrush: Another must have item. Gotta keep the breath fresh.
Deodorant: Tom's, this is my first time trying all natural deodorant. I have so much to say, but I'll save that for another post. Full review coming soon.
Olay: I'm just an Olay girl yall. If I don't have the soap I have the body wash. When traveling I usually take one of each.
Shea Moisture Facial Toner: I'd been on the hunt for a facial toner for a while and during one of my Target runs with my girl Alex we decided on this Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Toner and so far so good.
Everything fits nicely into my Victoria Secret travel bag which are always on sale and come in super cute colors. Oh yeah, I added a head scarf that I've had forever. My grandma gave it to me when I was probably a junior in high school, it's so special to me. I also pack an eye mask when traveling, I never want the bright sun from the airplane or hotel waking me up early.
