Weekend Recap

From a rooftop bar crawl to enjoying the beautiful views in Brooklyn Bridge Park, I had tons of fun this past weekend

I attended my first roof top bar crawl with my friend/co-worker Janna on Friday night. We drank (a little too much), laughed, and met new friends as we hopped around Manhattan from bar to bar. At times, I still can't believe I live in NYC. So much to do and so many amazing views.

Can we talk about this dashiki for a minute? I've been shopping around for the last few weeks and I finally got my hands on the perfect one. Thanks to Natural Girl Rock and their amazing customer service. As soon as  this pink based dashiki was back in they alerted me. I purchased it and it was in my possession two days later. I can't wait to style it in a totally different way next time.

We literally spent the day hanging out and having fun! So thankful to have great friends in my life. Brooklyn Bridge Park was probably the highlight of my weekend. I had no idea that place even existed a few weeks ago and now I can't wait to go back. The view is amazing and it's sooo much to do. And I was able to do something that I loved doing as a child, swinging!

Can you see my excitement? I haven't seen a swing set in SO long and ran over so fast to just enjoy the thought of being a kid again. This brought back so many memories of my very own swing set in my yard back in Camden, SC. I remember racing my brother after school just so I could swing first.

I ended my weekend with brunch, a picnic in Central Park, and then watching the NBA Finals at a local bar in my neighborhood. And now you see why this post didn't go live yesterday, I have no excuse other than I was just tired. Pooped from a fun filled weekend.

Did you have anything exciting/fun happen this past weekend? Let's chat about it.
