I hope you guys had an amazing weekend. I had tons of fun again this weekend, but what weekend isn't in NYC!
This past Sunday I hosted my first event as a New York resident. Curls and Mo and I co-hosted "Lets Thrift," which was filled with tons of shopping, chatting, and more shopping. We met 10 lovely ladies in the park, talked about some great thrifting tips, and headed out on our journey.
Hitting up Goodwill, City Opera, and Paws for Cause we thrifted until we dropped. The ladies found some great gems and we were able to find a few pieces for each other also. Yes, I got in on the fun and thrifted a few pieces too!
Outfit Deets: Romper- Thrifted $4.99, Shoes: Brookly Flea $20, Accessories: MK, F21
Let the shopping begin.....
We had such a great time and I can't wait to do it again soon! Each one of us left with some awesome pieces to add to our wardrobe.
Two dresses (yes that's lace) - $15, Three skirts- $4.99 (yes that's gray leather and yes that's floral), and black clutch $5.
"I've died and gone to thrift Heaven...O-M-G"
The day before the event I was in Brooklyn and decided to get a little head start and get my mind right for thrifting. My first stop was Brooklyn Flea and second stop was L Train Vintage in Park Slope. I found some great pieces at both spots.
When you are thinking of thrifting, set a day aside to focus and get your mind right. Thrift stores have tons of stuff, be patient, dress comfy (leggings and tshirt), and if you see something a little bigger BUY it...you can always get it taken in.
